ABOUT ANGIE

Far far away, in the rising mountains where a river runs wild a young nature lover was born. As a child, loving the environment was natural to me. I loved exploring the great outdoors. As an adolescent and young adult, I was enthusiastic for life, savoured new experiences and was a bit impulsive and rebellious. As a child of the 70's, a free spirit, I enjoyed blazing new trails, the offbeat and the risky.

Nature enthusiast

As an adult and a mother, the romance with nature has grown with my family; we love exploring the outdoors, camping trips, outdoor sports, hiking trails or just watching the sun set at the lake. Now that the children are grown with kids of their own, we still enjoy that wonderful connection—we are nature enthusiasts.

Photography enthusiast

I am a photography enthusiast, a visual storyteller focusing on nature, wildlife, landscapes, people and the places I travel to. At any given moment, I am either dreaming of places I would like to visit or planning a road trip that will inspire a story. I am passionate about photography and the power and importance that creativity holds in our daily lives.

I am a mom to three grown children and grandma to two. And have two very special dogs that share my life. During the work week you can find me out in the community providing mental health services and support to the people I work with and loving the job I do.

The fewest words that would best describe who I am would be that I believe in the goodness of people and the biggest question I ask myself each day is “How can I make a difference, and did I?”

My hope is that the things I share will inspire you to reach for your dreams even in difficult times, sometimes the challenges and struggles we face in our lives are exactly what we need at that moment. I know this because I am a proud survivor. I am also an optimist and a dreamer. “I choose to live with hope and the belief in possibilities through the wide-eyed magic of ‘What-If’…because what-if we can all make a difference?”

Thanks for joining me on this adventure!

The world is an amazing place—let’s go exploring.

    Wonderful words Mom,

These words tell us who you are, why you do what you do; and that if you dare to dream; the rewards may be much greater than you could imagine.

    Lots of love,

    From your son, and fan

Hi Angie, trust in the universe and it will lead you down the path you need to go…. this morning I woke feeling sad and down because of so much loss in my life and I was angry with myself because of the so many bad life choices I have made…. I switched on my lap top and decided to look for that which I need to hear …. through following various posts and pictures I stumbled across your blog. Thank you, this morning I received what I needed from the universe …your blog. To me your blog is all about gratitude, which is something I, cloaked in the darkness of self-pity had forgotten about. Bless you for sharing, sometimes we do forget about the light that shines within each of us and how important forgiveness is, we are just human, we make mistakes along the way, some more than others but its important to learn our lesson and take the good out of that lesson and forge forward instead of getting stuck in that rigid position of I have failed, I am a failure and all the rubbish that is stuck within it. You have brightened my day, inspired me, made me happy that there are people who have good lives, it gives me hope that one day I shall too be one of those people. Blessed Be.ReplyCancel

  • Hello Angie,

Great job done in creating this site and your fb page. To my mind you are not just a blogger, but an artist who transforms any social message into a beautiful, simple & receptive way. You work is so very pleasing to eyes and soothing to mind that for a moment you take the person away from the world. That is why for me its sheer piece of art.

Keep it up. May god bless us all

  • Hello Angie,

I quite like your photos – ethereal and evocative. Lovely sense of colour too. I just started my own 365 Project and wanted to look at yours, though there is nothing there when I click there. Would love your comments
